16days Shaman Trek in Rural shaman Village

From Kathmandu drive to Kharidunga. Along the trek, you will come across some villages mainly inhabited by Tamangs, Sherpas, and Brahmins. Along the trail also can be seen are some monasteries and Temples. A good view of the Mountains and Sunkoshi River can also be done. After crossing Sherpa villages, you come across a thick forest with lots Rhododendron trees. After that, you reach Kalinchowk. From the highest altitude of Kalinchowk (3579meters) you could get a good view of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Shisha Panga , Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Amabamori, Gauri Shanker on just behind, and Namburi Himal. There is also a prominent temple of the Hindus called the Kali temple. Two natural springs originate from this area which are called Sundhara and Tama which are the main source of the very big two rivers the Sunkoshi and Tama Koshi. From Kalinchowk, one could get a good view of Kathmandu at night. The national flower, Rhododendron (Laligurans) and the national bird, Pheasant (Danfe) can also be seen in this area. While descending to Suspa you could get to see, a very rare community in Nepal called "The Thami", Who are known the Shamans  you will meet them.

Itinerary:

Day 01: arrive in KTM and transfer to Hotel Vajra

Day 02: Sight seeing in Kathmandu KTM: Pashupati, Baudha, Patan Durbar Sq.

Day 03: Rest day and prepare for Trekking

Day   04: About 6 hrs drive from Kathmandu to Khari Dhunga by private bus and start the trek to Guranse Danda  & stay over night in tent.

Day   05: Trek To Kuri and stay over night about 5 hrs

Day  06: Trek to Kalinchok about 1 hour watch festival & back to Kuri then stay over Night

Day  07: Trek to down to Singati village and stay over night about 6hrs

Day  08:  Trek to Bigu Gompa (monastery) and stay over night about 6hrs stay over night.

Day  09:  Rest day in Bigu and Visit Shaman village

Day  10: Trek to Singati about 6hrs.

Day  11: Trek to Tutan about 6hrs.

Day  12: Trek to Dolangsa

Day  13: Trek to Barhabise

Day  14: visit Tibet border and drive to Nagarkot farm house about 5hrs.

Day  15:  Drive to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur

Day  16:  Kathmandu shopping

Day  16:  Departure
