Upper Karnali lies on north-western part of Nepal. Region famous for its unbeatable combination of its Natural beauty and off beaten trails. One can walk along the beaten or virgin route. Either way you are in for an experience for the life time. Along with the snow covered mountains, the high alpine meadows, the rocky cliffs, the thick forests, monasteries and breath taking landscape, and you will also encounter the friendly inhabitation of different culture – offering a fascinating glimpse of traditional rural life, which have been unchanged for the centuries.
This region is also famous for its historical aspect. Sinja village, where The Royal Malla Palace stands still in this region, which is over 400 years old. Back then the Royal families used to rule the region; the place is also famous for the special Brown Rice (Chandan Nath), cultivated since the era of the Royal Malla Families. And it is also known for the highest paddy farming in the world.
The region also hosts Mt.Saipal, Kanji Roba Himal and Rara Lake. These Panoramic views of mountains and scenic views of landscape are the most attraction of the trek. The different forest eco – systems and vegetation types along the trial offers a diversity of wildlife. More over the large meadow and pastures grazing large numbers of yaks, horse and sheep will make the travelers forget about themselves and the busy modern city life.
