Jungle Safari Jungle Safari have a long history in Nepal. They first started as hunting trips for the Royal Family and big game hunters from around the world. In Nepal's protected National Parks you can observe the wildlife on foot, from the back of a jeep or even atop an elephant! Some of the animals you may come across include endangered one horned rhinos, deer, birds, monkeys and, if you are very lucky, a royal Bengal tiger.

We recommend a jungle safari as the perfect way to relax, unwind and experience the wildlife of Nepal. We offer three to five day safari packages, with a choice of different standards of jungle lodges and tented camps. Jungle Safari - The fourth most popular adventure sports in Nepal:- The outdoor adventure sports into the wilderness to see wild animals, birds and natural beauty. You ride on an elephant's back or on a four wheeler jeep accompanied by a fully trained guide (also known as expert Naturalists) for the love of nature and animals. In Nepal, Chitwan and Bardiya are two hot dishes on the menu. Pick Chitwan as this is Nepal's most popular National Park offering excellent opportunity to see Royal Bengal Tigers, One horned Rhino, crocodile and thrilling wilderness experience into its deep and thick jungle. Pick Bardia also, as this is another National Park, which offers excellent jungle Safarii. Here too you can ride on an elephant or a take four wheel to discover some of Nepal's unspoiled natural habitats. Most jungle Safari consists of canoe rides on the jungle rivers, nature walks, birds watching excursions and quick tours around the villages to discover unique culture and traditions of the local village people. There are also scheduled cultural-musical programs performed by the villages, which are also in the Jungle Safari itinerary. Chitwan National Park

Royal Chitwan National Park stands today as a successful testimony of nature conservation in South Asia. The Chitwan National Park was declared UNESCO Natural Heritage Site established in 1973. Chitwan National Park is the first National Park of Nepal to preserve a unique eco system significantly valuable to the whole world. It also emphasized that only a very small part of the national park is used for tourism. In 1970, His late Majesty King Mahendra had approved in principle the creation of Royal Chitwan National Park.

 

The Chitwan National Park is situated in southern central , covering 932 sq.km covered with deciduous forests providing every detail for those who are true nature lover with jungle safari and overlooking the floodplains of Narayani, Rapti and Reu rivers. Headquarters of Chitwan National Park is located at Kasara, 21 km drive from Bharatpur which is 20 minutes by air or 146 km by road from Kathmandu. In Chitwan National Park there are many Resorts hotels and lodge to accommodate and for jungle safari.

Chitwan National Park offers a wilderness of rich ecosystem that includes mammals, birds, reptiles and water animals of several kinds. The highlights of Chitwan national park are the 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros and some hundred nocturnal Royal Bengal tigers that live in the dense forests of the park. Chitwan National Park consists of churia hills, ox-bow lakes, flood plains of Rapti, Reu and Narayani rivers. And you will discover a lost world of towering trees and twisting vines, of pre-historic rhino and lumbering elephants, crocodile, python and deer; brilliantly colored birds and if you are fortunate - the superb Royal Bengal Tiger. Sharing home with these are other animals like rhesus monkey, grey langur, deer, leopards and wild cats etc. Another most important factor adding to the Chitwan jungle safari is the colorful Tharu Culture, their way of living, culture and tradition and heart touching Tharu Dance. Here you will do many activities likes Jungle Safari on elephant back, jungle walk, canoe ride, jeep drive etc.
