Island Peak also known as Imja Tse is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal for climbing on Himalayas . The combination of Everest base camp trek and Island Peak climbing is probably the best trip in Nepal adored by adventure seekers. From Dingboche the mountain is seen as an island in a sea of ice. Imja Tse not only provides an enjoyable climb but also provides some of the most spectacular scenery of Himalayas in the Everest region. Seen from the summit the giant mountains, Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,501m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m) make a semi circle in the north. The views of Makalu (8475m) in the east, Baruntse and Amadablam in the south add more charm in climbing Island Peak . For many mountaineers climbing Island Peak marks the beginning of climbing on Himalayas to prepare for a big Himalaya expedition in Nepal in the later years. For some mountaineers the peak stands for the purpose of acclimatization before heading to bigger mountain climbing. Trekking to Kaalapatthar or Everest base camp is best suited for acclimatization before proceeding to the climbing on Island Peak .

Mera Peak (6654m) is the highest and the permitted peak to climb. Stunning panorama showcasing in the route of five of the worlds eight thousand peaks Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Cho-oyu, and Lhotse can be seen while climbing this peak. The peak stands to the south of Everest and makes dominates to the wide and thickly forested valley below. The trek follows by a climb in the standard route along the Mera La gives a few days of relaxation on the way to Tibet tour and Bhutan visit can be possible, when the snow falls excessively and the mouths of crevasses are open and the path can be strenuous for the experienced mountaineers. Day 03: Trek to Zatrwa La (4610m.) 6/7 hours and over night Tea house.(B.L.D)
Day 04: Trek to Kote (4180m.) 6/7 hour and overnight Tea house.(B.L.D)
Day 05: Trek to Thangnak (4356m.) 6/7 hour and overnight Tea house.(B.L.D)
Day 06: Trek to Khare (4659m.) 5/6 hours and over night Tea house.(B.L.D)
Day 07: Trek to Mera base camp (5400m.) 5 hours and Overnight camp. (B.L.D)
Day 08: Climb to high camp 5650m.) 3/4 hours and Overnight camp. (B.L.D)
Day 09: Climb to Mera center (6461m.) summit and back to Base camp. Camp 7/9 hours and Overnight camp. (B.L.D), Today is challenging day due to summit.
Day 10: Spare day. (B.L.D) Overnight camp
Day 11: Trek to Chhamlang tso (4900m.) 6 hours and Overnight camp.(B.L.D)
Day 12: Trek to Panchpokhari (5484m.) 6 hours and over nigh. Overnight camp (B.L.D)
Day 13: Trek to Amphu laptsa base camp (5600m.) 7 hours and Overnight camp. (B.L.D)
Day 14: Trek to Amphu Laptsa Tso (5216m) after doing Amphu Laptsa pass (5845m) (8-9 hr) (B.L.D) This is the hardest day in this trek. Overnight camp.
Day 15: Trek to Island Peak base camp (5080m.) 5-6 hours and camp. (B.L.D) and preparations for climbing Island peak. Overnight camp.
Day 16: Climb to Island Peak (6189m) summit and back to base camp 9-11 hours depending on the climbers speed (B.L.D) and Overnight camp.
Day 17: Trek to Dingbouche (4410m) 6-7 hours and overnight Tea house.
Day 18: Trek to Tengbouche monastery (3860m) 5-6 hours and overnight Tea house.
Day 19: Trek to Namche (3440m) 4-5 hours and overnight Tea house.
Day 20: Trek to Lukla (2840m.) 7/8 hours (B.L.D) Tea house
Day 21: Flying back to Kathmandu and Hotel. (B.B)
Day 22: After your break fast drive to international airport for final departure.
